Editor's Note: Guitar Students Do What I Couldn't

Stacy Arnold holds a Master of Music degree in guitar performance from Southern Methodist University’s Meadows School of the Arts where he was a scholarship student and graduate teaching assistant under the tutelage of internationally acclaimed concert guitarist, teacher, and composer Robert Guthrie and a Bachelor of Music degree in guitar performance from Middle Tennessee State University where he studied under the guidance of Dr. William Yelverton.

Stacy Arnold teaches classical guitar lessons to students of all ages and levels of ability in the Dallas and Fort Worth metroplex area including Irving, North Branch, Addison, Richardson, Highland Park, University Park, Garland, Mesquite, Grand Prairie, Hutchins, Duncanville, Waxahachie, Midlothian, Hurst, Dallas, Fort Worth, Flowermound, Keller, McKinney, Frisco, Southlake, Rockwall, Rowlett, Denton, Arlington, Mesquite, Pilot Point, Corsicana, Ennis, Mansfield, North Richland Hills, Keller, Carrollton, Sunnyvale, Balch Springs, Lancaster, Coppell, Desoto, Sachse, Wilmer, Euless, Plano, Murphy, Seagoville, Cedar Hill, Grapevine, Red Oak, Bedford, Parker, Arlington, The Colony, and other surrounding cities.

The teaching philosophy is to develop a students performance ability by establishing the fundamental principles of pedagogy (technique) and to build on this foundation by applying principles of musicianship to develop a students ability to be a successful performer, musician, artist, and teacher. A critical and important part of this development involves the study of etudes from the 19th and 20th centuries that will prepare students for study and successful performance of the concert literature of the classical guitar that exists from the 16th century Renaissance to the modern-day.
