“Riley is a great music teacher, and also just a really nice guy. Friendly and easy to get along with, he knows how to instruct and he knows his stuff, both technique and theory. He's always happy to answer questions, and to work with you and your interests. As a beginning bass player, I'm sure I would not have progressed as quickly as I did without his lessons. Its always up to the individual player to put in the time, but working with Riley will give you the tools, direction, and fundamentals to get you playing bass well.” - Jon R.

“Riley is terrific. A gifted player, he is a knowledgeable, dedicated, and most importantly, encouraging and motivating teacher. Also, his affable and easy-going manner makes learning a pleasure. Through his expert guidance I have come a long way!” - Peter M.Here are just a few of the many teachers offering Bass lessons in Boston . Top 10 Best Guitar Lessons In Boston, Ma

With the Suzuki Method the students learn to play the instrument first, and to read music second, removing the obstacle of reading notation until the students learns some technique on the guitar. I have also taught students of varying ages using traditional teaching methods. I like to pace the lessons based on each individual student. I understand that students have other obligations and I do not believe music lessons should add stress to the students. Read More

I received a BA in music with a minor in philosophy in 2002. After College wound up working different dead end jobs, until I became a stone fabricator of granite countertops. In 2006 I went back to Berklee college of music for one year and wound up transferring to Longy School of Music in 2007. This is where I got to study with Charlie Banacos, George Garzone, John Lockwood, Bob Gullotti, and was introduced to concepts such as George Russel's Lydian chromatic concept. Read More

I have been playing guitar for approximately 15 years.  Over those years I have played many different styles, playing different instruments in different bands, from open mics to big venues all over the country.  I love playing music and love helping others discover their love as well.  One note worthy teaching gig I’ve had was working for a company in Nassau County, NY teaching guitar and music theory to developmentally challanged adults in a day program.  There is no musician I will turn away; my focus is guitar, but I have many instruments and can introduce the basics for many such as drums, violin, viola, cello, piano, bass guitar, as well as composition and arrangment.  I have worked with many bands, ensembles, and chamber groups, and would love the opportunity to help you achieve your musical goals.  Whatever your musical interests, I'll help you get to where you want to go. My method is simple, teach the student how to enjoy learning music. Every student learns at a different pace and it is my job to show you the steps you need to get the results you want. For children I have a vast amount of musical games that will make them fall in love with their instruments and music in general. For more advance students, I will focus on your weaknesses, learning repertoire and slowly introduce reading and theory in a simple fun way. Read More

More Than A Feeling Tab By Boston (guitar Pro)

I have always felt such a deep sense of satisfaction when a student finally nails a difficult tune or passage, or is introduced to something in music that blows their mind. Nothing is better than inspiring a student to grow and progress, and that has always been at the core of my teaching style. I always want to strike the balance between constructive criticism and praising accomplishment in our lessons, as I understand that realistically not everyone wants to play music professionally.
